Interactive Learning
The Otter Cove Children’s Museum is a state-of-the-art, interactive, indoor learning space for children (ages 0-12) to create, imagine and explore. The museum features a large indoor playground called the Otter Romp that is designed after the Ottertail River, local landscape, and the falls of Fergus Falls. Children can also explore the miniature town which includes a bus, grocery store, café, veterinarian, stage, bookstore and dentist. Otter Cove’s maker shop allows children to get messy and create with a giant paint wall, themed table activities, curated crafts, and STEM manipulatives.
Otter Cove opened in 2020 and is designed to inspire children and aid in their development by “creating a space to stimulate skill development, instill a sense of place and purpose and launch their imaginations.” Otter Cove offers children and adult art and STEM classes in the maker shop throughout the year and the museum is available for birthday parties and private rentals.
Daily drop-in rate is $7 for adults and children over 12 months. Memberships and gift cards are also available.
