Welcome Bike MS TRAM Riders to Fergus Falls

Fergus Falls is delighted to be on the MS TRAM route for the fourth time! We promise 2016 will be better than ever and have made it a personal challenge to raise the bar every year we have TRAM riders visit.

NEW THIS YEAR – The MS TRAM event will be in Kirkbride Park. This City Park sits in the shadow of the abandoned Regional Treatment Center. There is lots of great space for camping (flatter and more shade than Grotto Park in year’s past). We’ll be providing a shuttle route, some food options on site, and entertainment.

Fergus Falls is right off I-94 just an hour from Fargo and 2 ½ hours from Minneapolis. As an anchor on the Central Lakes Trail, cyclists nationwide have found this bicycle-friendly area a great stop on their cross-country routes.

With 1,048 lakes in the county and the Otter Tail River meandering through town, there are many sports and recreation opportunities. Biking, hiking, fishing, boating, birding – they’re all effortless in this area. The Prairie Wetlands Learning Center, Otter Trail Scenic Byway and two state parks are nearby too.

The arts are defined in many ways. A Center for the Arts brings theater, concerts, film, and more. The Kaddatz Gallery, Charles Beck Gallery (at M State) and Lake Region Arts Council expose us to the talented work of local and regional artists. Downtown is bustling with new shops, boutiques, restaurants and coffee shops. Don’t miss the cobblestone RiverWalk behind Lincoln Avenue. Mystery tours, cemetery walks the abandoned Kirkbride Building and architectural tours captivate visitors as does our county museum. We know you don’t have long to visit in July but we are looking forward to having you here!
