Exercise and beautiful scenery are motivators enough to get you on the move during your Fergus Falls visit. The Central Lakes Trail provides 14’ wide paved trails from the trail head in DeLagoon Park 55 miles SE to Osakis. It has beautiful scenery with lakes, ponds and old bridges. It changes from a winter snowmobile trail only, to non-motorized biking, hiking and in-line skating in the warm weather months. The trail is the abandoned Burlington Northern Railway corridor. For more on the Central Lakes Trail visit CentralLakesTrail.com. For bike rental or repair visit Central Lakes Cycle.
The RiverWalk is located in downtown Fergus Falls one block south of Lincoln Veterans Park (Sherman St.) to Union Avenue. This beautiful and historic path provides interpretive signs highlighting buildings along the way. A highlight is when you walk across the Central Dam bridge. (This is where the falls used to be and how Fergus Falls got its name.) Take a stroll along the river. It is very pleasant and an easy walk.
