When it comes to vacations you’re either a planner – or you’re not! And I’m sure there is a lot of “in-between” for both extremes. Since you’re spending your hard-earned money to travel, it just makes sense that some of the key components are pre-planned.
Winter trips can be challenging if you’re looking for weather-dependent activities. Is the ice deep enough to drive on (for fishing, of course)? Is there enough snow for snowmobiling? Is it too cold for the broomball tournament? Are the cross-country ski trails too icy? Frostbite Festival is planned in Fergus Falls for January 30-February 1 regardless of the weather. To complement the many outdoor activities, there are many indoor events worth attending too – think comedy, the arts, bowling, movies, etc.
No matter what time of year you will be visiting Fergus Falls we encourage you to plan ahead. Especially during the summertime – on weekends – our hotels can be full. Theater schedules, museum hours, events and festivals – all abide by schedules. We’re putting the finishing touches on our 2015 visitors guide – and it will have a calendar of events (also in digital format). Whether it’s on your phone, on the web, in a coffee shop or in the stars...make your decisions and plans based on something (or someone) you trust. We’d like to be that source for Fergus Falls travel information. And as long as you’re with friends or family – or making new friends, if things don’t come together quite as you planned, you’re still likely to have a great time.
